SOUTH AMBOY LIGHTHOUSE

Paul is our recent edition to the Board of Directors. He has come from a long career in the photo-copier industry, starting out in Service/Repair and finishing in Supply Chain Operations. He had decided to retire back in 2018 when he was 62 years old. Currently, he is still retired and enjoying many of his favorite hobbies which include hiking/running/bicycling, photography, wood-working, writing, eating, camping, kayaking, fishing, playing guitar, etc. Paul also likes to support local original music; he sometimes performs at local venues.

Paul came to the United States back in 1959 with his parents — they came from Halifax, Nova Scotia. In early 1963, they had moved to the Morgan section of Sayreville. His neighborhood lies near the bluff on the Raritan Bay, about a mile and a half from the Great Beds Lighthouse. He still resides in the home that he grew up in, acquiring the residence from his parents.

Paul has always had a passion for the Great Beds Lighthouse. He loves the history associated with it and most of all, he loves its monumental presence as it stands out in middle of the bay.

Paul is honored and grateful for being asked to join the handful of people that want to save and beautify the iconic structure.
